A well depicted picture of human nature. It seems to me that mostly we are alone amongst many. And our thoughts are so different than others that we ourselves are individual aliens - away from the normal stream of life.... well narrated one.

It's when we are alone in a crowd and it happens so often. You have put the idea nicely in verse. It remembers me famous poem 'Desiderata'

Party is full of insolent comments and vulgar jest. There is no meaningful atmosphere for a stranger who expects sanity. Beautiful poem.

the strong image-setting compels us to feel the party air...and an alienated individual sitting unconcerned too...

Search...well imagined and expressed. Parties do have such personalities who become alien to partying. A very good one.

I completely agree with poet and echo his feeling: It is a tight walk rope searching for a good person in the world of indifference. Enjoyed yr creativity dear poet :)

A blend of apt analogy and quality diction that merges well with the rendering style. The only concern is about the WHY and WHERE of the person waiting and the one waited for.. What if the latter doesn`t meet the former at the place?
