Such a brilliant work.......wonderful to read......thank u.....
This is an outstanding piece....one of ur best....thank u, dear poetess...
As I was reading this exquisite poem, I kept thinking of Elvis Presley when he had first met Priscilla. And then I thought of Romeo and Juliet. And then the last stanza so brilliantly shattered those thoughts. I didn't see it coming. A masterful heartwreching poem of teenage and forbidden love.
the tree had been uprooted by typhoon is a grievous one. What a n expression of love.Really a spell bound poem.
Excellently written and exquisitely beautiful. This verse is in my List.
I discarded all the petals Of the flowers that you gave me I inserted them In every page of my book To remind me of you A tear suddenly fell on the petal It stained the highlighted Three loving words. Great poetic lines Rose Mary. The crown of the rest. Touching. Love is great. Love lost becomes also great, living long thus everlasting in memories, as is in your poem this. This is a gripping heart and soul twisting story in a poem-saga and my heart so wanted the ending that put these two people together..............Then I saw you in white robe You put crosses of ashes On all the worshipper's forehead............... Ashes for the young love. This is a masterful tale worthy of being published in a book one could lay on a nightstand by the bed for reading again and again on a lonely night. 10++++++++++++++ and onto my fav list
A poem to be read again and again, every time I read it I know more meanings of it.
What an amazingly pleasant story. It’s flow spreads through stanza after stanza upon heart like butter icing. The anticipation and expectations of love at first sight couldn’t have been told better. Thanks Marie for sharing it.
We lined up for the observance Of Ash Wednesday Then I saw you in white robe You put crosses of ashes On all the worshipper's forehead... ......fine poetry
Truly a heartrending work, you shared not a poem but a piece of your life, and as a reader I find myself connected to the humanity of your work. Beautiful.
There are poems that strike because of their language, and some that strike for their thoughts, and their are those in which the poet has invested themselves wholeheartedly that they give themselves inside of their poem. This poem is the latter kind, sharing a story of oneself with such honesty and intimacy that it provokes a feeling of being their in your life.
Bravo Rose-Marie I enjoyed it very much Thanx for sharing and support! ! ! ! !
