This was a heart wrenching read, but beautifully composed, I like the metaphor you used for birth, was amazing, its a very haunting work, but powerful to read. Your imagery will not leave me any time soon. Thank you for sharing

A superb poem Karen. The jusxtaposition of loss whether in death or separation from the living and the changes that life brings are powerful and emotive forces in our lives. Beautiful writing, sensitive and as always emotionally honest and a heart laid bare, a great pleasure to read and emotionally to enjoy.

Congratulations! I think this is your 100th poem! The pictures that were drawn in this poem so vivid and so clear, though a kind of leaked paint in between! well written!
