Your first stanza says it all. The sea is a metaphor for life and each soul, a wave that rises and falls and returns to the sea. For some reason your poem reminds me of these lines from The Walrus and the Carpenter. 'If seven maids with seven mops swept it for half a year, do you suppose, the Walrus said, that they could get it clear. I doubt it, said the Carpenter and shed a bitter tear.' I see only small creeks and big rivers through my window on the world. But it would be lovely to dream of measuring the sea.Only the poetic mind would attempt it. Excellent write, Raveendran. Warmest regards, Sandra
