Loneliness
screams in silence
Not a question
it asks,
It just opens
itself wide
to bellow
from un-reaching depth
of solitary
confinement
...And screams...
That which
reverberates
within hollowness
of the being
And echoes,
in the rasping breath
that shudders
in the artificial lungs
Mixing carbon dioxide
in the blood
to slowly kill
Comatose eyes
see everything blind
But, alzheimerised brain
refuses to understand
And it plays
with shadows
that stretch
in elastic moods
set by the sun
and the passing traffic
of lights
Blood

on a soul coagulated
releasing silence
Alienation
opens wounds
stitched back
to hold the shriek
Mouth agape
is mouthing
silence
echoing some dead note
for long, unheard
loneliness
again screams...
...And shrill silence is heard...
