Scent …it takes a poet to allow our senses to freely indulge. Thanks

Beautifully written; a whole world in a woman's scent. Like memories that linger in the morning air, after waking up to her absence...

Glory! Be ye' praised, nay truer words moved thee. To all pining love's, ay guild ah lowly lonely land lubbers... Thar be her scent. y'argh! (any excuse to type like a pirate)

This poem gives a fresh perception of scent as a metaphor for a woman. Memories can be conjured up by various means or ways. Beautiful memories make soft pillows for ones head-especially at 1 AM!

Welcome to Poemhunter. Scent can be a subtle hint as you subtly hint through out the poem.

In later years all our senses create memories, a scent, a touch, sight, a sound, or even taste can make a return to some long gone friend or place. Lovely poem I like the structure with the short lines.
