Leave prints that dance and leap Long strides to chase away the gloom. Wonderful poem with a soul-stirring message. Enjoyed reading.

Lovely sentiment Edmund. I love the line, A world of clocks tick away... that is so true. Sage advice...and to do this all on the beach...even better.

The idea of startling the sea gulls is a metaphor for approaching life in a different way. Instead of the common path we come over the dune unexpectedly and the footprints that we leave along the shore will tell their tale. Will they be ruts or playful curious impressions.
