Saying Goodbye Poem by Soul StillWaters

Saying Goodbye

Slip through my veil and see me
See me for who I am
See me for who I am not
see for in a short while, I am not
look upon me once and for all
a sight for now can't be

Hold me before i perish
feel my skin and it's scars
feel its roughness, toughness
marks tatted by nature'e endurance
rub the hairs before they shed
take a strand before it returns

Speak and hear me
listen to croaks in my tones
the echoes that's tuned to you
hear for notes while near
say it all forbearing nothing
the words astute or incoherent

Do these things before we part
like the red sea never to be apart..

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I wrote it 2 days before my 29th, thinking why we say goodbye. I guess I was thinking about my first breakup
