(Robert Frost said, 'Never be bullied into silence.Never allow yourself to be made a victim')

Bullying is a tactics of ruffians
To silence those
who try to raise
Their voices against injustice.
Some bully others as they get
Sadistic pleasure out of it.
They want to show you as coward and meek
They try to kill your individuality
They block your way to progress
But remember that a bully's behaviour stems
out of his own insecurity.
If a bully is successful in silencing you
He may do it to others and feel powerful
And as such becomes a threat to society.
In schools, some physically stronger students
Try to make fun of weak students
In harsh words, or even beating and kicking
This causes lifelong trauma for victims.
Some students choose to leave
For new schools and some continue to suffer.
Ragging is one form of bullying
Which we find in many Engineering and technical colleges
Where senior students torment the new entrants
This has serious repercussions as we have seen
Cases of suicides or some leaving the college
By putting their career in ruins.
To stop bullying is not an individual responsibility
As parents, teachers and authorities
Should come together to find signs of bullying
Or the victims of bullying and give them necessary counselling.
With adequate deterrents against bullying
we can wipe out this scourge from society.
