Saving Faith Poem by Gary James Smith

Saving Faith

Saving Faith

Saving faith is by grace alone
All of our works are set aside
With absolute trust in the work of the Lord
We need trust in nothing beside
His shed blood on Calvary
Paved the way for our Salvation
When we repent and turn from our sin
We've great cause for jubilation

The thief on the cross was not denied
And neither too will you be
If you put your faith in Jesus Christ
You'll be saved for eternity
Isn't it a blessing...how sweet it is
That God approved my acceptance
Now my name's written down in the Lamb's Book of Life
Because of the day of my repentance!

Saved! ...saved! ...saved! ! !
What a joyous refrain
Whenever a sinner trusts in the Lord
His life's never the same again
For a wonderful transformation's occurred
He's transported from darkness's realm
Into the glorious kingdom of light
With the Lord Jesus Christ at the Helm!

Hallelujah what a Saviour!
