I am asking you for nothing, for myself,
not even prayers, not even flowers
as I am already gone very far from here,
but I know you are determined to find the answers you seek,
the truth behind my sudden end;
what I can ask you now is for my hour of peace,
my final resting place;
as in the bosom of this earth I have to eternally sleep.
You do not want me go until you know
what made me leave without a sound,
without a farewell, without a reason just;
how will calmness surround my soul
if you will despair amidst your grief?
I know you will keep searching for the clues,
for tongues that may not speak to tell,
as each one knows their restraints,
but truth shall never conceal its face;
so save your tears today, cry another day
your love is greater gift I have
your tears are the flowers I hold
and all I want is one last promise
that each one of you will protect our mother-earth
which God has given to us, to live on and conserve;
think of this earth as your own brother or sister
and just as you would never allow anyone to harm them
preserve your environment for your own future;
before they cut another tree or mountain
before they chase another fort or fountain,
before they take away our fields for selfish gains
rush there, stop them as what nature provides for you
unitedly protect and preserve, just as I did till i died;
no sacrifice is greater than self-sacrifice like mine;
and as I go, I promise I will keep a watch on you
encourage you to move on and be brave
I will guide you from heaven above
so save your tears today, cry another day
as this silent mother earth needs your help
speak for it, care for it, don't let them take it away
as our families will multiply tomorrow
and they should sleep in their own villages and towns
in their own cities, in their own nativity with freedom....
they must walk freely, breathe freely, sleep freely
for this world is ours to love and cherish
so save your tears today, cry another day.
