Hi Emma. No I do not have any article and I wrote this poem as my daughter was on her IPAD far too much it was stopping her homework and outdoor activities. We are blessed by the many forms of technology available particularly through the Covid 19. I couldn't live without it. All the best to you.
That is a fair question to ask. Technology has changed society radically, but we are free to reject it. Luckily I don't have the problem of children excessively using smartphones, tablets, computers, and all the rest. I find ordinary books much better than e-books.
This poem is more than Amazing! It is pure Genius! You have managed to so beautifully, Summarize, the whole of our " Technological Society" to perfection. I have never read anything so perfectly well done and so satisfyingly, Complete and True! Congratulations, Lyn Paul
The tech savvy generation are the future of mankind. I liked your poem.
A very thought provoking poem. Technology is great but young children are exposed to it too soon. Even schools are changing their teaching methods. Parents needs to be mindful and vigilant more than ever.
Really nice poem, I think we've become to dependent on technology now and are losing far too many important skills, I know a lot of young people who just don't have any real practical skills.
A great write Lyn. In fact a thought provoking poem. Really it make us think is Technology a boon or curse. There is not even a single day, when children are away from internet. I agree it gives them good exposure, but its curse too as children may tempt to misuse it. Beautiful presentation. Loved reading it.
Couldn't agree more. In fact, wrote Patient Zero One, on the same theme.
But what is technology doing to society...... Any parent or grand parent with a non-mechanical brain has to be thinking about this great final line! ! ! Where are our children going with their nose, eyes and brain stuck to portable screens. Will they ever be able to be weaned and lead a normal human life. These questions are marvelously presented in Lyn's present work. I hope she has some answers because I don't but it is very worrisome. Important and good work.
A very interesting poem indeed. Technology has nowadays got so interwoven into our lives, that it is now too difficult to extradite it. Yet a life without technology would be so simple and pure. Another important facts is that the all pervasive technology has made our children prematurely mature!
I am so delighted to read this poem. it brings an important message for all of us. I agree the technology is a curse and we have to be able to control youth using the technology.
Is technology a boon or a curse to our children.....? This is a serious question worth pondering over! Of course it is a boon and we cannot do away with computers or lap tops and mobile phones! But when Technology becomes an obsession, it becomes a curse! Our children are sadly alienated from the real world and its problems. They live in a virtual world morbidly estranged from their fellow beings! A great write Lyn!
The title would catch my attention anyday. Tech has disadvantages indeed esp the cellphone radiation is cancer causing esp in young kids. Tech is always replacing the human touch and presence, machinizing evryting, roboticizing humans which is harmful. So yor poem is a hardhitting masterpiece, one of your best tour de forces! Tc.
very nice says about children for technology they are wonderful writing sir, i like it and also read my poem sir
You have asked very nice question and observed the children properly at school. Now a days technology has stolen books and many emotions of children. Powerful writing. Message is there for society.10.
So true, technology is a curse for children as they miss out on reading books, playing games with their friends and using their imagination, a wonderful write with a powerful message!
