Hi Becca, Thank you for the time and the appreciation. Obliged
uh-oh.... he may have been angry at the slur about his mother but I think he just made things really sticky... uh-oh.....can't wait to read next installment of this story
I have just tried to portray the character of Debabrata, by narrating his reaction to this unusual situation.
In his chariot were the three princesses Frightened like deer before a tiger. I loved these lines.
Hi Geeta, What I have tried to narrate here is the valor and prowess of Bhishma. Kashi had a mighty army. He sheared the army into shreds while taking the princesses away. Single handed lay. You can imagine the awe of the girls.
Furious devabatra kidnapped 3 princesses as emperor of hastinapura refused to give his daughters to the sons of a fisher woman.. Interesting story
Bhisma took them away for giving them in marriage to his brother. Though kidnapping princesses for marrying was accepted in those days, it was acceptible only when the abductor himself marries them. Here Bhisma is already sworn to celibacy. The intrigue continues.
The emperor of Kashi didn't agree to give marriage his daughter to the son of Satyawati. He remarked her son as fisherman. This event has been nicely portrayed here along with the Swayamvara. Thank u dear ES.
Sir, This incident is another turning point in the life of Satyawati. Quite a lot of intrigues. Obliged for following this series. Kindly guide me on going forward.
