Unikrishnan Ji you have a great talent to write an epic. I shall read more as and when I get time.
We should all have an island like this to mend our soul. The beauty of it is balm for the soul. My friend, you have such story writing skills! I am a confirmed fam of this story in verse style! !
Thank you Susie. Obliged. But, now we may not find a place like this!

Nothing is forever, not even pain... Time heals all wounds and nature is the best balm to an aching soul Motherhood is a beautiful experience no matter in whatever the circumstance. Started enjoying the series... Off to next episode. Thanks for sharing this poem with us.
Sweet songs of birds give tender musical feelings. Like a rainbow of colors and fragrance, empowerment is so sweet and dear. Womanhood holds motherhood. Clear waters in the little lagoon shines by touch of light. Beautifully penned poem is shared here is interesting.10
Thank you Sir. Thank you for going through this series.I have tried to interpret the story narrated in threads in the epic, in my own way. It is gratifying that you could relate to the narration. Thank you. Very encouraging for me.
Above all father's love And his care removed All the harsh memories And I enjoyed my tiny life. Most importantly in life, pure love of a parent, is the most rewarding experience in life. Whatever happens, unconditional support, care and love erases all bad memories. Once again, it is a new beginning of hope. Beautifully penned. Looking forward to the next part in the series.
Thank you Geeta. As father of a lovely, loving daughter, how can I write differently? Quite glad that you could relate to the subtle changes I have made in the story. Obliged. -unnikrishnan
Time heals all wounds. Spring asserts itself to add colors to life. Though still caught up in troubles, a beam of hope shines in the girl's unfortunate life. Well penned sir.
The role of the environment and the care of the loved ones in one's mental make up is what I wanted to bring out here. Quite happy that you could easily relate to this. Thank you Nosheen.
Beautifully carved.. Love and care of her father which helped to heal her bruised heart and mind.. And the pleasant environment provided for her to welcome her child, really amazing. It's very hard to accept the seed of sin, but here we can see 2 great hearts.. Liked this poem
Immensely grateful to you, Rini. I am quite happy that you could relate to this story. I was just trying to look through the minds of the father and daughter. I understand that I have succeeded in this effort, at least in part, from your words. Obliged. -unnikrishnan
A nice poetic imagination, Unnikrishnan. You may like to read my poem, Love and Lust. Thanks
Love is an essential emotion as is passion to Lust. But, when Lust overtakes the senses it becomes sinful. If one is powerful like Parasaran, one's becomes a menace
This is the first time I have read a Satyawati series. I just read it without going through with the first. Yet, the story is spellbinding that I just continue to read this series. A wonderful epic. So vividly portrayed. As if a reader is transported to that island so beautiful and self sufficient. Beautifully written.
Hi Rose Marie, Thank you for visiting the page and posting the wonderful observations. I am obliged. The story is picked up from the epic Mahabharata, as I have mentioned in my notes. I have taken a poet’s liberties here and there, and moved away a little from the epic. I have given notes, which I think, is adequate for a person new to the ancient Indian culture and epics to enjoy the story. Satyawati is the Great Grandmother of both Pandavas and Kauravas.
