The sand in the hourglass is moving fast
it makes me wonder how much longer it will last
I'll admit, there were times I wished I could turn it around
then once again watch all the tiny fragments come back down
The beginning of the end of the world has been evident
but people are still in denial as they are overlooking the evidence
If this life were a game, this would be the quarter number four
the game clock has less than 60 seconds, the shot clock: less than twenty-four
But life is anything but a sport
and at any given moment it can get cut short
Between living and dying sometimes there is a thin line
This is not basketball or football and there is no overtime
There are no reviews, recalls, and no delay of game
everyone goes through struggles, but no one's journey is the same
I pray each day that God gives me the strength so that I won't tire
to guide me along the right path and deliver me from hell's fire
I pray the same for my family and friends
that they will realize that time is short and get ready for the end
The sand in the hourglass is falling fast
it makes me wonder how much longer it will last
