For as long as I can remember,
Since the time of my childhood;
I have loved to run beneath the trees,
And climb amongst their lofty branches.
Gently they cradle me far above the world;
Sheltering me from its lies and cruelty.
Here in my lofty haven I am finally at peace.
The wind whispers its lullabies as it rocks me to sleep;
Breathing life into my lungs,
Healing by body,
And renewing my spirit.
The leaves gently caress my face,
And I know that here in my sanctuary all is well.
