There is a French song by Les Poppies, a fantastic rythm, titled, non, non, n' rien a changé, tout, tout a continué.
I loved the song when I was young, and I was buying into the content. When I am in a lesser mood, I still feel like that. But If I look back a few decades, looks like everything has changed. There is more love, there is more compassion, more charity. ~The days and nights are equally long, but the days look brighter. IF we lookk back only a few decades, reading a book of a century ago helps. Even though blind greed and vanity is far from being out of the world, there is an increasing number of people opting out of these things. Sacrifices are made. Our hearts are warmed and it feels so good if we serve others. More and more people get to know this for a giant truth and more and more embrace some more of this wisdom. While this poem expresses a feeling of the day, almost every day, I am getting a bit more convinced that the world is getting better bit by bit. It is a bottom-up thing. The leaders may be the last ones to understand and follow.... :)
