Salvation Is In Having
Salvation is in having
A relationship with Christ the Son
And seeing Him as the Saviour
Who died for the sins of men
And holding that name dear to us
Who paid in full sin's ransom price
That precious, precious, name above all
That name of Jesus Christ
None other was found sinless
Than He Who was of virgin birth
Not by a man and woman conceived
But by the Spirit was He unearthed
And made known by His manner
What manner of man was this
Who spoke forth with such authority
His Words were not dismissed
Check out our Lord's credentials
He fulfills them everyone
The Author and Finisher of our faith
The Just and Holy One
His miracles gave attestation to
This truly was the Son of God
Who became obedient unto death
Enduring God's chastening rod
A listing of just Who He was
Gives great cause for deliberation
The Bread, the Water, the Light of the world
The Shepherd over every nation
The Door by which to enter in
The Truth, the Life, the Way
There's none other Saviour besides Him
He'll show you the Light of day
After acknowledging some what of Who He is
You can relax and take a breath
For above all of what we've heard thus far
He can deliver us from death
I urge you to reflect on this
And set your thoughts on a higher direction
And let these words of Christ sink in
For He said He's the Resurrection
Notice I've not mentioned religion
For Salvation is in a man
No church on earth can give as such
As the Lord Jesus can
And sin which cloaks us with it's garb
Can be discarded once for all
And Christ reign in us in Righteousness
For He is Lord of all
Just a prayer from a repentant heart
Dear Lord how I need You
I'm not interested in a religion Lord
But in a relationship Lord with You
Take this soiled heart of mine
And change me Lord from within
For Thou art the Resurrection and the Life
And the Conqueror over sin!
Hallelujah what a Saviour!
