Salvation Ii Poem by LeeAnn Azzopardi

Salvation Ii

Rating: 5.0

I surrender my hope for the old times
But I want to be in their arms, this morning
As the dawn arose, I felt no more sadness
Though, the numbed ache was still there
I want to let go of the pain
However, no one has given me right
The future is unsured
And the present is painted with grief
I wander aimlessly towards each day
Waiting for a sign of optimism
By the end, they are dashed
Without word
And I weep for G-d to answer
But He is the only one to know it

Sometimes the silence drains our resolve. This is a terrific verse, LeeAnn.

I wander aimlessly towards each day Waiting for a sign of optimism By the end, they are dashed Without word And I weep for G-d to answer But He is the only one to know it----When all hope dashed, we turn to God only.
