Salt
The ocean and the taste of lips
yet fearing my blood pressure
I abandon salt.
It is a domestic violence
as fierce as a household
sharp unavoidable.
Sugar
A multinational company's name beyond mouth and chest
melting slowly in the mills of flesh.
Yet fearing rising sugar
I renounce it on Jupiter
They dissolve becoming
one in mirror and face.
Love
A burning island
whose light tears the heartbeat spreading deep into the veins
Only its fragrance lingers
between the fingers.
Even drinking the poison of death
it grows into the tree of life.
I know I will collapse.
I will end.
Yet it will be my ascent
it will be my fall
but I cannot let it go.
