Sai018, His Control Over Disease Poem by Rajaram Ramachandran

Sai018, His Control Over Disease

SHIRDI SAI BABA

Raghuvir Purandhare was in Bandra.
His wife had an attack of cholera.
Doctors gave no hope for her,
And he was feeling sorry for her

He prayed Sai Baba to save her.
And the Saint was standing at Dadar
Surprisingly by the side of Dattamandir,
He gave him Udi and holy water.

His wife recovered within an hour,
After taking the Udi and water,
That news spread like a miracle,
Among the anxious local people.

Like this, Mahalsapathy, the priest,
Went to pilgrimage to Jejuri spot,
In a palanquin, with a few devotees,
And was warned of plague attacks.

He was dejected and stood upset,
When he prayed to the Saint
He was able to spend his time
For four days with no problem.

Sai Baba asked him next time
When he went to see him
"Had you a fine pilgrimage?
I was there to give you courage.

Where is Bandra or Jejuri?
For that matter, the place Shirdi?
The Saint, by telepathy, knew well
When his devotees were in trouble.

He rushes to their living places,
In response to their urgent calls,
Unseen by them at that moment,
But he was there on that spot.

Sometimes he comes in disguise,
Not in his original form or face,
As a surprise to the affected person,
Who prayed to him with devotion.

He conquered time and space,
In his pursuit of spiritual ways,
And the wonder of wonders is
He even now comes like this.
