SHIRDI SAI BABA

During 1904, the Tehsildar of Jamner,
Shri Nanasaheb Chandorkar's daughter,
Was pregnant and suffered for three days,
With no relief, serious labor pains.

Having exhausted all the sources,
Seeing her unbearable severe pains,
He prayed Sai Baba to save her,
From her facing the present danger.

At Shiridi one Ramgir Bua sought
Sai Baba's permission to return
To his home in Khandesh Town,
Which immediately he had got.

Sai Baba gave him a packet
Of holy ash, Udi, with a bit
Of paper containing a prayer
Song to be given to Tehsildar.

(Tehsildar = Revenue Officer.)

As he had no sufficient funds
To meet all the wayside expenses,
Sai Baba told him to go ahead,
As everything was arranged.

At Jalgaon station, he got down,
And there was a waiting peon,
With a horse cart at the gate,
Ready to take him to the spot.

Nanasaheb received the ashes,
And the paper of prayer songs,
And before Sai Baba's picture,
They all stood and sang the prayer.

When the holy ash was applied
She delivered her beautiful child.
Ramgir Bua was so surprised then
Who could be the peon or cartman?

Was it Sai Baba himself who came?
Or He had sent all of them?
What kind of miracle it was?
He couldn't himself find or guess.

Sai Baba's miraculous deeds
None can imagine his ways,
But he helps all his devotees
Keeping everyone in surprise.
