What has one to endure so that the grave provide him with lasting peace? But, dear Barry, I do wonder whether can piece be where war does not exist.I'm afraid if I had to choose I would choose war to have peace too, even in time breaks.Do, please, enjoy the war getting along as far as we live!
When one is in severe pain, be it physical or mental, moods can shift to welcome death. That does not mean to avoid savoring every drop of joy that life has to offer. War is only one of many forms of torment, but the poem really has no direct comment on war.
As life is torment is, it will end in the grave. It is a marvellous poem on life and death having high penmanship. Many thanks dear sir for posting such a diamond piece... 10
