Sad Poem Poem by Gio Masserati

Sad Poem

This is a sad poem,
Not going to lie
Got a text today
My sister's dog had died
Blurrily,
I processed the letters
Reread it over again
Didn't believe the story
Who would be so vehement?

I called her up
Still in disbelief
Questioning the text
Asking her, point blank,
Did your dog leave?

She sighed,
Then began to cry
Sobbing, why? why?
Why do animals have to die?
They're family...

Why do animals
...and cats
...and dogs
Have to say,
Goodbye?

How can we bear it?
Please God, remind us all
There's a heaven in the sky
For not only us, but for all
Our pets and animals

A harmoniously, heavenly shelter
Full of love
Filled with creatures
Solely operated by animal lovers

Souly enamored
By every animal
That laid down their life
With access to every angelic being
As are they
And lots of beds to sleep in
With comforting companions.

Yes, this is sad now, but if we believe
In a future place
Like heaven
All of this
Sure is a little more bearable

Oh, we love you animals
You are so darn
Loveable! ! !
