Sad Eyes Poem by Miss Tee

Sad Eyes

Sad Eyes

There's a longing deep inside
that translates to the outside —
a silent language
spoken without sound.

A craving
with no name,
no shape I can hold,
only the weight of it
resting behind my ribs.

An unspoken desire
that trembles in my chest,
pressing against my skin
as if it wants to be born
but doesn't know how.

And so it settles
in my eyes.

They carry what my mouth cannot say —
the ache,
the reaching,
the quiet hope
that someone might look closely
and understand.
