I'm celebrating
Thirty seventh
Marriage anniversary
A free spirit
Spirit of romance
Falling ahead of
The spring season
Full of a variety
Variety of fragrance
As a special treat
Treat for one and all
Showering flowers.
We can't part
Till death
In rural India
As a leaf from life
Embracing
Sweetness of love
And bitterness too
Taking a dig
At sometimes back
Growing up on words
In the formative
Years of our lives
Stories so told or read
Making
An indelible inkling
On our minds
As a child till the last.
Owing to-
Falling in love
With same very person
Each time
For several times
And so on.
Swearing
By the secret
Of long lasting ties
Of love
Fidelity and customs
As a long life span
Based on
Inherited values
Of love and liberal
Atmosphere
Of devoted tolerance
Sharing
Responsibility
And faith
Like the sandwich
Of the history
And new winds
Of change
Managing-
All ups and downs
In matrimonial
Union
Of conjugal life.
Everyone respecting
Each other's person
Even if, worn out
But, imposing not
Likes or dislikes
On the other one
Treating
Flirting as felony.
Love and fidelity
Sustaining
Our relationship
Trust and respect
The key to success
Blending with care
All couples so meet
In the evening
Of their lives
Considering
Threads as such
Ensuring longevity
Habitually
Enduring marital
Relationship
As a sacred bond
Not a social contract.
No summer
No spring
No beauty
Of the nature
Nothing of the sort
Not even glamour
Hath such a grace
That one appears
On the age old faces.
Globally
Marriages swiftly
Falling apart
Whereas-
Rural Indian couples
Cracking the code
Of happy
And long lasting
Single marriage.
