I'm not in competition, no
Running my own race, don't you know?
No desire to play or be like anyone else
Just improving and being my best self
Private and guarded, that's me
An open book, if you ask, I'll let you see
Selective with my words and who I talk to
Gentle and shy, but always true
Celibate and focused on my own pursuits
Not chasing after others or looking for new recruits
I march to the beat of my own drum
Content with who I am, not seeking anyone's thumb
So let me be, let me run my race
No need for comparison or a prideful face
Improving day by day, that's my aim
Simply being better than I was before, that's my game
