Nice contrast in this poem. You're neither fast enough to escape the darkness nor to win the race, but all the same you still run the race. Most excellent. The race of life is a vicious cycle, and many times you feel like you end up precisely where you started. This perspective is very transparent and quite mature I might add. I want to run away From disturbing nightmares And the even worse reality Every time I think I'm away from it all I end up where I started I think I can cross to the other side It's just a short distance Such a wonderful poem! I'm sure we can all relate to the above lines at some point of time in our lives. Thanks for sharing.
