Rumor Poem by Randy McClave

Rumor

Those who speak a rumor
Are worse than a cancerous tumor,
They want to eat up a soul and mind
Then leave the suffering behind.
They are just a terrible disease
Only them do they want to please,
And their only joy and gain
Is when they give others sadness and pain.
They are a terrible cyst
Because of evil and hate they exist,
They are a horrible terrible swelling
In which fear, misery, envy and jealousy is dwelling.
They want to eat away at your being
With gossip and whispers from the unseeing,
They don't care who they abuse or hurt
As long as they treat someone verbally like dirt.
They don't care what they say or do
They are worse than the flu,
All they want to do is get you sick
And then when you're on the ground, you they'd kick.
But, of course there is a cure
When your soul and actions and conscience are pure,
If you want to be corrupted by lies and sin
Why not listen and believe a rumor again.
