Rugged Inside Poem by Nunam Lawati

Rugged Inside

As the wind swirl
As the rain drizzle all over,
I see my reflection there
I see a wounded soldier.

Covered up with pledge
Off it goes,
With a hope that it will rise
Looking at the scars it does not show,
It must look virile
Disguised with faith
When inside it delude itself
And stop its breath.
It will only tell you
How bravely it fought
It will never tell you
The dearest it had lost.
Cause it pinches too hard
When you take their name
All those smiles it has gathered
With memories down the lane.
