Human race has been struggling hard to survive
The sweeping fire of a crane's desperate curses
On loss of her mate on the sharp end of an arrow
Curtailing life and the nature's bliss of love making
LXII
Who on earth could stop swallow Madurai by the flames
Of furious curses rose from the depths of Kannagi's heart
Who lost Kovalan, her beloved husband to the gallows
Of the misled and indiscreet Pandyan King of Madurai
LXIII
Curses on the cold silence of stalwarts of the Kuru palace
When Draupadi was dragged in and stripped shamelessly:
Like a dragon forced out from its den had swallowed into
The fiery stomach of utter ruin the empire of Kauravas
LXIV
Tears rolled down the cheeks of Seetha were so hot
That Mother Earth could not absorb them into her bosom
It blazed and spread all over cremating alive human peace
Though she never cursed any who doubted her chastity
LXV
Arrows of regret is pricking my soul to wriggle in pain
Apologies for the unforgivable sins my fellows did
Forgive us before the blaze of curses burn us alive
Or push us down to drown in the pool of miseries
Hustle and bustle! ! Struggling along the line. Thanks for sharing this poem with us.
Thank you very much dear friend. We human beings are social beings and as such we are collectively responsible for the sin one commits and as such it's our duty to apologies on behalf of all.
A great poem indeed how human race has done the mistakes and still survives. Poem with a strong message. beautifully crafted and with sweet rhyming it flows very nice. Enjoyed thoroughly. Thanks.

Wrong doings invite curses. According to the intensity of our misdeeds, we will have to suffer! That is an indisputable way of Nature's retribution! All through History, we can see such long lists of crime and punishment! The modern man is so callous that he commits heinous crimes without any qualms. The poet here ardently prays to God that no curse should fall on his fellow beings! A poem of great depth with examples from history and legends!
Thank you very much Valsa George. The sufferings of human society is definitely reciprocal to his misdeeds. Nobody is ultimately spared from punishment for his deviation from the path of true life as envisaged by morals and ethics
