Roulette Poem by Sandra Feldman

Roulette

I tried to do
The best I could
But Life's not always
What it should,
You play at Life's
Unknown roulette
The trouble is
So many times
We make,
Such bad,
Incongruous bets.

I've slept in a couple of those myself. Indeed, we take a big chance when we mix up our fate with that of a partner, or even if we don't.

Wow! The insights in this poem are astounding. To my favorites. I just love the roulette wheel analogy and the bets. The casino of life that needs a poem.

good point and setting it as a game of roulette makes the meaning more intriguing
