The poem stimulates my appetite. Of course I have not yet tried roshogulla, but it could happen.

I relish Roshogullas! For long time I had the notion that its origination belonged to my state but as you have mentioned in the notes part, the origin of it was credited in favor of West Bengal by the court of Law! I am delighted to learn that you have kept the detailed record of it! Very nice! After all Roshogullas are Roshogullas....Loved reading the poem....10

You have ended the argument in a lovely way, and thanks for informing me of a sweet that I had never heard of before. I will ask my Bengali friends about it!

I will go to Bhubaneshwar in March, and I will ask to taste the Odisha version. I will try to accumulate merit before that so I will deserve a treat.

I will also go to Calcutta, so I will taste the treat in both places.

That's great. It will be interesting to find out the difference (or similarities) in both the versions. Thanks a lot, Denis.

This poem Rasagolla is certainly mouth watering. But, for Odia, this would not be much palatable as you have already cited the reason.Lord Jagannath has been offering this sweet quite long, even more than 350 years in some specific occasion s.Of course, this sweet was too costly and far from Reach to common people. This was only a royal treat confined within palace of Gajapati Maharaj and temple.Colour of Rasagolla was different at that time, little pinky.Thanks.

Oh! That's fantastic. You have poured in so much information on the subject which otherwise would not have come to me. This is a real value addition. Thanks a lot, Prabhata ji.

Rajnish ji, it is remarkable that you have written a poem on Roshogulla. I never knew that there was a dispute regarding its origin. Well, wherever it may come from, all i know is that it is a wonderful sweet of India. Delightful poem. :)
