You may call this a Halligan romance
Yet, I pity you since you never had the chance
To experience a love like I have
A love that not only fills but builds
Your soul into something new

Turning your heart
From one to two
Seeing not from one eye
But from two
Hearing not just your way
But listening as two
Talking not with one voice
but with two
combining in one mind
to see anew

it's a pity you have never had a chance
to experience this
never learning to understand that
true romance is much more than
a kiss
