This reminded me of the sentiment in 'The Velveteen Rabbit'. I liked it a lot, most especially the bit at the end: 'It was enough to make him rock in happiness until/The friend he had lost had a child'. Thank you :)
Very nice darling. I had to check this one out since you spoke of it. Indeed, there is beauty in a child's toy. It is loved by a child, and sometimes by their children after them. Children themselves are a wonder as well. They bring such joy into the world.
