This poem just made me cry.......it's so beautifully written but so very heartbreaking. I've worked with the elderly for awhile now but haven't worked with one yet that is all alone in the world. I think it will be a bittersweet experience if it ever does happen. At once I'll be glad I can be there and be a friend but yet I'm sure when I go home at night it will weigh on the mind and the sadness for that person will overtake me. I love this poem for it's very realness.
