Politicians, nay, dictators like Mugabe are a disgrace on the face of earth. I really wish every dictator fell like Mubarak et al. A really well penned political poem Mr Manga. Thanks for sharing.
It; s a pleasure getting amazing reviews on my poems. This one is no different. Thanks, Dear Soul. During the past four five decades, we have seen many kings and dictators brought down from their high pedestals to dust on the ground. Mugabe invited the wrath of his people and was removed unceremoniously.
Those like Mugabe find it hard to relinquish power. Eventually, he was forced to resign by popular demand.+++10
Politicians just don't want to step down on their own. Last two decades have seen a number of such despots licking the dust. Thanks for your positive feedback.
sorry old Mugabe...we will always remember you...you will never die to us
Thank you very much for being on this page and sharing your sentiments about the deposed Zimbabwean leader. But you will agree that whatever happened was already written on the wall.
Yes! ! He has to give way for the youth! To set an example for the young generation. Thanks for sharing this poem with us. Hitting the nail on the head!
Thank you so much for supporting my views about the leaders who are outdated in terms of their utility (they are rather a big liability) to their countries. They must give their countrymen a reason to rejoice.
...be a Patron instead of a, punching bag. True, a leader once loved now hated. A great poem dear poet and friend.
Highly thankful to you, dear friend, for your visit and kind words of appreciation about the poem.
You must set an example before The younger generation and be a Patron instead of a punching bag.. essence of the poem. Great write on Robert Mugabe. Beautifully painted.
A very realist poem with good advice for Robert Mugabe, who is certainly getting older and there are young men who could take his place. I think the western media have been too critical of Mugabe. Your poem sheds new light on the man.
Thank you, Michael, for providing significant information about how western media perceives Mugabe. It is time Africa transformed itself into a formidable force, fulfill the aspirations of its people and assert itself at global stage.
A balanced, fair consideration of Robert Mugabe, who has been vilified in the English press, perhaps unjustly. At 91, it is time for him to step down, no question.
It is unfortunate that rulers just don't want to give up power and opt for voluntary retirement. They are cut off from the public and forget their aspirations in the changed world order. Thanks, Michael.
