Road To Infinity Poem by Anthony Russomanno

Road To Infinity

In a world where there is no time
everyone seems to be just another puppet on a road to infinity.
In a world were there no time for the meek and poor
big cars and busses take us from door to door.
They keep us in a traffic jam sell us all the toys.
Can't you see it's just pollution and a lot of noise.
Can't you see were running out of time
Can't you see were running out of time
Can't you see were running right on time
Now this poem is for everybody not just for me.
It's for the helpless world and this lost society.
It's for people like you people like me
running through the California summer the only place to be.
We can see the faces but we seldom see them smile.
We hear the voices but refuse to hear their cry.
Can't you see were running out of time
Can't you see were running out of time
Can't you see were running right on time
Now can you hear the drummer she's play-in the street.
She's a patriotic lady chance says you'll never meet.
She carries a torch for you but she can't hear your cry,
I'm just a young boy I wasn't born to die.
All the wars never made it right the bombs will end it.
The world would be a better place if we only let it be.
Let it be. Let it be. let it be.
