Life springs within us
each day and each night
a river of joy, contentment, pain, or grief,
pure and unbridled, yet free flowing
The same life that emerged from the crust of the earth
to colour the flowers and butterflies,
hue the leaves each season,
give wind its direction,
the sea its waves
colour us, change us and steer us.
As the river flows soaking in a part of the earth
traversing across places,
touching umpteen lives,
giving, taking, devastating, yet strangely fufilling,
the life within flows and flows in abundance.
It springs from within each of us changing according to circumstances
and transforming us along the way
until death ebbs us to reach the sky
to be one with our creator!
