River Poem by H E Alexander

River

The river flows freely through this fertile land,
watched over by the moon's argent glow,
weaving a falcate path around the weeping tree,
washing its leaves like fingertips in the cool water's flow;
standing proudly by the river's side, the rock
nobly guides its journey wheresoever it will go.
