It sounds like the night festivities are even more exciting then the day revelries, it must be a true honour to be one of the bhoktas, the fire ritual sounds mesmerizing and enthralling, it would be a wonderful thing to see. It must be a unifying experience, a parade that embraces the divine maker. The words are just a taste of something that sounds amazing.

This is truly great to know about the Danda Nata. This is cultural heritage of ancient Kalinga. We see every year that devotees with great enthusiasm participate in this festival. Your effort in writing about the Danda Nata is definitely very admirable.

It has been a rewarding journey through the three poems describing the festivities in connection with Danda Nata! So many minute and thumb nail descriptions of the beautiful festival are shared here! The fire dance seems to be the culmination of all rituals! All the three poems are vibrant with songs, dance and the sound of drums! Thanks for sharing! A 10

A mid-night procession of the Danda Nata is captured very well and this is an excellent poem about culture and tradition. Deepest devotion of the bhoktas is well reflected in the poem as well as in the image. A great celebration of the Danda Nata is nicely presented.
