Highland Cathedral is a beautiful tune and when I read your words I thought them so appropriate. With all the talk of a new Scottish National Anthem I sincerely think that tune and your words would fit the bill. I almost cried when I heard the tune but when I put your words with the tune I was crying. I even sent the information to a radio phone in (with details of this website) but so far no reply) .
I can say hand on heart that the tune your words would make a wonderful national anthem. The result of the poll was (heaven help us) 500 miles by the Priclaimers. Nothing wrong with the song but can you honestly see it being sung on a solemn occasion. No didnae think so.
