Riptides Poem by Benjamin Chiu Uy

Riptides

Riptides

You are riptides,
The reverberations of historíes,
The echos of the gunpowder's,

Assassins,
massacres,
and the killing fields,

The trace of your bullets,
intosoft vulnerable marks
on their bodies,

In the riptides, ripples,
turmoils and chaos,
of life,

Making days turned red,
Red serves purpose like
blood and arteries
with the meats,

There's never a chance of redemptions,
We are one of deemed
mass exterminators,

Of charred suns, charcoal remains
of chaos,
These days
will marked this century

As the bloodiest blood lust,
Annals in history's
discretionary,
Execratoryorders,
and executions,

Parts of upheavals,
Strifes and chronology,

Hitler gassing,
millions of innocent Jews,

Making man less kind,
Less forgotten roots of rotten people
Unforgettable mass murderer.
