Rippled Sky Poem by yellowbell alamanda

Rippled Sky

U hurried up
like racing to rise first
against the sun.
The street that you longed
to be there
starts to move under your feet,
looking for what's meant
for you to have
in the promise of life's fate.
A mob against you
pushing you away
or drawn you.
Well you swim up
because you believe so...
though the moon
still at dawn
a misshapen roundness
casting for sadness.
And their sky's rose-colored
while your's stillness of blue
nothing's new.
Their sky's wide
for their plane to fly in
while your boat sails,
trying to race against
the ripples on your sky.
Like what you've dreamed
of last night,
teasing you sweetly
as they fade away.
You tried to move closer,
when from afar you could see it's easy
but grabbing something
can skinned your knees,
and your heart made of cotton
like coward letting ripples
carried you away.
Until the sky moved higher
untouchable,
impossible.
Now from afar
you pointing up with your finger
counting the circling lines
continuously moving away.
