Riot Poem by Daniel Miltz

Riot

It's been ages or so of debasement
Up 'til now, getting a handle on disturb
What could have been, a city of kindly love
From, we will never flicker free of
The once blast town of long time past days
With its spurned liberal ways
Stirring, arousing, breathing

Fire Burning
Riots, scuffles, donnybrooking
To raging, alarm quaking
Sirens start a blaring
With red lights a flashing
Rushin' to where smoke is showing
To find the seat of the blaze glowing

Eagle eyeing thick dark cloud
Embers burst, slam bangin' loud
The grim wrath of devastated inferno
Carried by wind trumpeted glow
Dancin' across the sky blow
Spreading cross the robust borough
Burning in' hot flame, flash, flicker

In hour of crisis, weapons in hand
Comes the brave
Courage to save
O' heroes rush in, amid blacken scorch
Toward a funeral pyre, damnation torch
To liberate from anarchists
Reign of terror destructionists
