Ring A Ring O' Roses... Poem by Shaun Cronick

Ring A Ring O' Roses...

Ring a ring o' roses,
A pocketful of posies.
A-tishoo! A-tishoo!
We all fall down...

Ring of virus and germs,
Thoughts of deep concerns.
A-vaccine! A-vaccine!
We all are clean.

Ring a ring o' roses,
A pocketful of posies.
Health and hygiene,
In a world serene.

Some people never knew that the origin of this,
Simple children's 4 line nursery rhyme Ring a ring o' roses.
Possibly written from The Black Death/The Plague/The Pestilence.
Which also originated in China.
Then spread worldwide by fleas on rats on trading ships.
It peaked in Europe between 1347-1351.
Estimated to have killed between 75-200 million people.
It took 200 years for Europe's population,
To recover to its previous level.
