Righteousness Poem by David Olughu

Righteousness

Holiness you may also call it.
A state of purity
in body, soul and spirit.
Humanity living as divinity.
The position as heaven's best fit.
A replica of God in every society.

Our key to life, eternal.
For he that has Christ is not canal.
We're immortal mortals.
In constant connection with our heavenly portals.
For the God we serve is not a man.
He is one that can,
and who shall surely execute His plan
but only to the man that is His number 1 fan.

Righteousness,
entails making the right choices.
Not living life by mere guesses,
but according to our mandate in Genesis
with Christ as your only basis.

It's not easy,
that's why He sent a helper.
Things might not be Rosy,
fear not, He's the best gardener.

A nature void of sin;
a life without blemish;
a vessel unto honour.
The true image of Christ.
