A unique twist that is creative -like a gently flowing river that picks up speed suddenly!
In the process of dissecting the cliché, you also show the mercurial mind at work, as it follows a train of thought, however unlikely. I was conscious throughout that the speaker is also driving a car as she thinks these thoughts, so it's multi-tasking with the cliché dissection running parallel to driving. The phrase contains an interesting endorsement to whatever it introduces: rain being natural is always right, the comparison to rain means you are right too - how reassuring!
All the same rain is rain invented to wash away pain thus, here it shall remain so I guess its alright- right as rain can be ..........beautiful lines.........rain really washes away pain and agony.............wonderful write
