Riding The Old Trodden Trail Poem by Phillip Nine Mafunga

Riding The Old Trodden Trail

Ride
Stride
Watch out for pride
For so is the way unto perdition
See, the longer the tarrying, the many are by the wayside

Rough
Tough
You still can have a hearty laugh
Dark days are of hardened stuff
Yes, you can stumble but hold onto His unfailing staff

Mental strays
Unwelcome stays
Just the excruciating pains of ugly days
Screaming in one but many ways
At the end, know that arrogance never pays

Fare
Fair
The difference might be in the stare
Unless you rain it with love, if you dare
To kill the reign of terror and scare
