Richard Moore Or Less Poem by Michael Burch

Richard Moore Or Less

for Richard Moore

Less is more —
in black dresses, I suppose,
and in intimate clothes
like the best crotchless hose.

But now our Moore is less
due to death's fell subtraction
and I must confess:
Christ, I hate such redaction!
